Mole hills.

Out and about today my husband kept mentioning how many mole hills there were about this year. So I took a picture of some to remind me how much they annoyed him. Farmers hate them because they make a mess of the fields and if soil gets into hay and silage crops it can cause listeria in cattle and sheep.
Super capture.

I have a pitchfork and have been known to start stabbing wildly. Should I admit that?

Wonderful capture not only of the mole holes but the green grass, rolling hills and the fence line

Really nice shot of this major pest! Our backyard looks something similar to this scene! It is interesting to learn there's a good reason why I dislike the little critters so! 365 is a whole source of new learning.

That's really interesting. I just thought people were wingeing about spoiling the grass. I also have them uprooting my bulbs at the back of the garden.

Yes, those pesky moles are such a nuisance and they're just in the garden here. I understand your husband's annoyance. Great pov looking up to those very sculptural trees Shirley.

@thresheg @tunia @gijsje @dizzyd @anniesue @tosee @milaniet @onewing @jqf @hermann @gilbertwood @deborah63 @flowerfairyann Thank you for your comments. Ann luckily I don't have them in the garden but we do in the fields. We have someone who comes round the farm and catches the moles in traps for us. Denise and Debbie, I don't hold out much hope of ever getting picture of a live mole I'm afraid. You have to be very, very lucky to see a live one. I could maybe get a picture of a dead one to let you see.
