This little chap made me jump. I was turning on the hosepipe tap and he landed right beside me on the wall top, right out of no where. At least he had the decency to stay put while I got my camera and took his picture.

Maggiemae, they any plant food including grass. Sally I think I would have jumped even more had it landed on me, ha ha. Peter, we never have that many here and I just let them live their lives, I like to hear them in the summer. Julienne, I found this one quite unusual, at first I thought it had a piece of grass stuck down it's back because I haven't seen one this colour before, normally they are just a dull brown.
