Little cutie

There is talk about a scheme starting up somewhere in the UK to give the grey squirrels a contraceptive in food in the hope they will stop breeding and hopefully die out. This they hope will enable the native red squirrels to thrive and re-colonise areas where there are none if the greys are gone. We are very lucky that we still have the reds here. Today I watched one chase away a Jackdaw and two have a fight over the feeder.

Bruni and Tony I agree they are good to watch but the reason we are culling them it to try and protect the reds before they die out. Bep I am pleased to hear you have reds where you live.
