My husband took me for a ride out then a walk to show me where he has been working for a couple of days, this is the view my husband has had. He has been helping a friend put a deer fence up. The post you can see beside the wall are the ones they have put in for the fence. There is wire to go on the top of this yet. The deer come down off the fell into the fields and are eating all the grass the farmer needs for his stock, so he is trying to keep them out. Often he can have 30-35 deer in his fields at one time. The path you can see is a public footpath that runs from Patterdale to Sandwick then on to Howtown. All the way you get spectacular views of Ullswater and if you are lucky (which we were) sightings of the red deer.
@beryl@gijsje@koalagardens@gilbertwood@hermann@roachling@bkbinthecity@tonydebont surprise, surprise, PP again. Thank you all you wonderful people. This really is a lovely walk with fantastic views. Best bit is there is a little cafe in the middle of nowhere about half way. They do a lovely cup of coffee and great scones.
