One lone red branch by shutterbug49

One lone red branch

Still on the hunt for red. This can be a favorite spot in the spring when it is purple and orange with lupin and poppies, but it is totally parched at this time of year w/o rain. Hubby is trying to compose a photo.
My is that dry

It's a great shade of red/orange. It definitely looks dry.

Our fields are also slowly starting to look like this. Love shot of the red that you found.

I was just talking with a gentleman yesterday- an avid fisherman who goes all around the country to do so- and he was commenting on how dry it's been everywhere this year. Not just in our neck of the woods but also all the devastating fires out by you. Everywhere! The reds may be spectacular but they've come at a high price, haven't they?

@olivetreeann Definitely. The mountains two hours away got snow this weekend so hopefully we will get some rain soon.
