Crooked Creek Beach by skipt07

Crooked Creek Beach

The clouds were magnificent when we went to the beach. As we walked out on the boardwalk I saw this dilapidated erosion fence and thought it had promise. I tried six different ways to post process this but the fence always gets lost in the grass or the grass isn't appealing. And so as a last resort to make something of this image, I gave it an oil painting effect. Somewhat of an Andrew Wyeth look.
Beautiful...such a painterly look

@maggiemae - I downloaded a filter from Topaz Labs called Simplicity 4 for PhotoShop. It has a number of effects for oil and watercolor paintings. They have free 30 day trials and occasionally offer discounts on the price.

I think this turned out really well.Definitely more of a painting look than a straight photo. Love all the subtle tones in the grasses.
