I knew that peonies need ants to help them open up but I didn't know that wasps help too.

@momamo - Guess what Monique, I was looking up some information about peonies and learned that they do not need ants to open the petals. I was told that a long time ago and that is what my wife was told too. But according to what I have learned recently, the ant thing is a myth. Ants are drawn to the flower buds because of the sweet nectar they secrete.

@gardencat - You are right. I was told many years ago that peonies needed ants for the petals to open up but I just recently learned that is a myth.
