The world waits for a miracle
The heart longs for a little bit of hope
Oh come, oh come, Emmanuel
A child prays for peace on Earth
And she's calling out from a sea of hurt
Oh come, oh come, Emmanuel
And can you hear the angels singing
Glory to the light of the world
Glory, the light of the world is here
The drought breaks with the tears of a mother
A baby's cry is the sound of love
Come down, come down, Emmanuel
He is the song for the suffering
He is Messiah, the Prince of Peace has come
He has come, Emmanuel
Glory to the light of the world
Glory to the light of the world
Glory to the light of the world
Glory to the light of the world
For all who wait
For all who hunger
For all who've prayed
For all who… ~ Lauren Daigle
@jyokota - I had one of those times when I was completely at a loss for an appropriate title. So this came to mind even though it was a poor analogy. For a couple of reasons.
One, this light is man made and they don't last forever. Two, as we are told in the Book of Revelation, that when God makes a new heaven and a new earth there will no longer be the need for a sun or the moon because God's presence will illuminate it. There no longer be a night.
So I do agree with you!😊
@casablanca - I know what you mean. Any more there seems to be no reprieve from politics and elections. As soon as the election is over they start campaigning for the next election. Let us hope that the people will wise up and start electing candidates based on their core values and principles and not just because they belong to a certain political party and offer the most empty promises.
@seattlite - My wife and I both love her voice and all the songs she has recorded. My wife and I went to a Casting Crowns concert and Lauren was the opener. Now she is so popular she is the main act!
@skipt07 Thanks - I agree. I have woken up to a majority government this morning, which is something. It's been such chaos here in recent times with no clear majority, lots of fighting and nothing able to be done. At least now we have a working government again and I thank God for that. We won't be asked to vote (hopefully) for at least another 4 years now.
