A few young blossoms from a very healthy potted calibrachoa plant, which is related to the petunia family. This plant had scores of blossoms, all quite tiny. Between work and aday.org, I have had a lull in photographic creativity and almost had to resort to a filler shot. But I spotted this fella and thought he was worthy of a photograph or two. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
vibrant, summery colour. Love calibrachoa. Had one in a hanging basket for the past 2 Summers. Not sure whether it'll come back for a 3rd time. Did not keep up the watering so it might struggle a bit.
@soboy5 well, mine needed watering at least every couple of days. But then again, everything in pots, and especially in hanging baskets, needs a lot of water during a Sydney summer. The hot weather and wind dries them out very quickly.
@sabine Thanks, it sounds like Sydney summers are the same as Atlanta summers - very hot and dry. My girlfriend lived in Sydney for a year and absolutely loved it - I want to visit there someday.
@allisonrap Thanks so much for the very nice comments, Allison. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. I am going motorcycle riding today and then taking my girlfriend out to dinner for her birthday this evening!
@orangecrush Thanks, jerry! @simon0128 Thank you, Simon! @juliakan Thanks, Julia! I will post another image of this plant next week after the flowers open a bit more.
