I love palm trees, they have a soothing, calming influence on me. Nothing says"tropical beach vacation" better than a swaying palm tree on a gorgeous beach with beautiful turquoise water. There were thousands of palm trees lining the Tulum beach, but this one was my favorite. There is something about this photo that screams "Corona Beer Beach Commercial" to me!

@peterdegraaff Thanks - it is! Tulum is famous for its tradewinds - it was very breezy on the beach all week, but especially the first four days! A nice shot which says "tropical" to me. We have palms of a different species in some of our coastal areas, planted in parks and gardens, not on the beach, and always looking a bit bedraggled compared with these.
