I was walking the Tulum beach early one morning with my Nikon and spotted this lone, handmade sign for yoga classes on the beach. This pretty much sums up the magic and mystical spirit of Tulum. There are no casinos, fancy restaurants, shopping malls, or amusement parks here. What exists here is nature the way it has been for hundreds or thousands of years. The jungle grows right up to the beach road. Meditation, yoga, the renewal of the mind, body and spirit is what Tulum is all about. Either you get it or you don't. We got it, enough to spend two weeks here in the last six months.
I've had the best time sharing my very best images from Tulum with all of my friends here on 365, but all good things must end and after 60 images, I feel that it is time to move on. Thank you for your wonderful support of this series, all the views, wonderful comments and favs. I am honored and humbled that five of my Tulum images made PP.
Such a charming, handmade sign! Your Tulum series has been fabulous. Great stories and great photos, and I'm happy you shared them with us. Thank you! 8)
The warm light of the morning sun goes very well with the text of the sign. Great find and an adequate final of your series. I'm curious what comes next.
@yrhenwr Thank you for all your kind words and support, David - I knew this would be my finisher as soon as I processed the image - it just sums up everything I like about Tulum!
I enjoyed your Tulum shots Danny. I'd never heard of the place two months ago, and then on Sunday a friend told me they had just got back from Tulum! Oh, I said, it's a wonderful place, my friend Danny on 365 has got some magical shots from there!
Sounds like my kind of place! Fantastic capture to end your series with. The sand looks so soft & the tones are magical! Have really enjoyed seeing Tulum through your eyes :)
