While the mountain roads are beautiful, challenging and fun, they are also treacherous. I do not know who lost their life on this spot high up on the mountain at a sharp and dangerous curve, but I was very moved by this homemade memorial to them. Sadly, I see quite a few memorials similar to this one whenever I ride in the mountains. A poignant memory to a lost soul...and a reminder to ride safe.
Very touching sentiments and photo Danny. You are so right that bikers, and motorists too, should remember to ride safe, especially on winding mountain roads. When we were in Ronda recently we were overtaken twice going up the mountain, both times in a place we did not consider safe at all.
