Although I am not a fan of cluttered backgrounds in my car images, I'll make an exception for this one, due to the license plate on the motorcycle. It says "WOW" and that is what I said when I first saw this pristine C2 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray roadster. I met its owner, who restored the car to look like a period correct racer from the 1960's. The two noticeable changes you can see here are the racing style fuel cap and the aerodynamic driver's headrest that runs down the length of the rear decklid. The owner personally handcrafted this headrest from fiberglass - a true labor of love.

In November, all 30 of my project images were shot with my Nikon. I have become a believer in this camera and its sensor and lenses - the image quality I am getting from the Nikon is noticeably better than from my LX3.
I'm really enjoying bringing you the classic car series, so I am going to continue it for another week or so, then it is on to my long-delayed NYC series entitled "6 hours in Manhattan"
@asutherland1964 Thanks, Andrew - I did not intend this to be just an American muscle car series but it certainly has turned out that way! I do love muscle cars. But for my daily driver, the Prius is perfect - I have almost 20,000 miles on it now and have averaged 50 mpg. I like being part of the solution instead of part of the problem!
Danny I love it. I think I told you before I used to get a ride to UC with a guy that drove an old red Corvette. He used to work with his Dad restoring them. Thanks for the memories.
And what a shot!!
