Planes, Trains and Automobiles...

My recent Vermont trip ended here, at Grand Central Station. Before my flight home, I had some time to explore Midtown Manhattan, and today is the start of a two week series entitled "6 hours in Manhattan".

Grand Central Terminal is the largest train station in the world, with 67 tracks and 44 platforms. This is the Main Concourse, a cavernous space that is bustling with people.

What amazing architecture. A stunning building for sure. the colour of that ceiling is so striking. It's bustling with people. I wonder how many of them look up and notice their wonderful building!

I've been there! fantastic station, so iconic and you have captured it brilliantly Danny! My daughter worked in New York for three months 10 years ago and I visited her for 4 days, flew back on Concorde too!

This is fab viewed large. One of a few places that I have not been in my many trips to Manhattan.

Nice shot of the windows. They are Tiffany glass. Did you roam the giant Apple Store there on top level?
