Looking Up by soboy5

Looking Up

As beautiful as the woods are, sometimes the best view is the one right above you. Best viewed large.

Day 25 of my "35 days of 35 mm" series.

Jim
I really like the selective focus and DOF. the way the branches split and lead your eye in two different directions at the top is a nice touch

Danny thanks for actually including the exif info on your Tulum work. You know me well and that is what I needed.
I love the pov here. I often find when I am taking a shot that it is when I look up or around that I find the shot I was meant to take.

Nice POV Danny, beautiful.

I agree with you, Danny. I read somewhere that you should always look up, down, and back....instead of always looking forward. Great shot! It looks like it goes on forever!

@jcarrollphoto Thanks for your nice comment, Jim - means a lot to me - this is one of my personal favorites from this series.

@cdonohoue Thanks, Cathy. The trick to sunrise shots is scouting out where you want to be very early. I like to use focal lengths between 20 and 30 mm on a crop sensor camera if I am standing on the beach. I am looking forward to seeing your Hawaii images!

The branches look like 2 arms reaching out. I love photos from this angle looking up. Well captured!
