Mabry Cemetery Established 1859

I've lived on Mabry Road in Cobb County, Georgia for 20 years. But it wasn't until this week that I learned that the family who originally settled this area has a family cemetery within walking distance of where I live! It is amazing what we can learn about our surroundings when we are looking for photo ops!

The Mabry Cemetery was established in 1859. It is tucked away in a quiet street in a quiet subdivision. Today will begin a short mini-series on my discovery. This series will be more history lesson and less fine art, but I think you will find the history interesting.

Can't wait to see your mini-series. I know a lot of the history where I live because our town is just now 50 years old and I have been here for most of it. But, a lot of people do not know the history behind the names. I find it fascinating. Glad you will be sharing.
