Chinatown by soboy5

Chinatown

I took the subway to Chinatown as I had not been there since the 1970's. It hasn't changed much. I remember coming here in the 1960's with my parents for dinner often. Best viewed large.
Nice capture, Danny. Isn't it funny that "chinatowns" the world over always seem to look the same. Their shops are super places to explore. Our University in Southampton has thousands of students from China so a small "chinatown" has grown in the vacinity - one of the shops is a bead emporium which my wife loves so we visit often.

I was there in the 60s and 80s....always fun to explore. I really like this scene with all the stair cases and signs in Chinese. You are right, it hasn't changed.

Chinatown where? I visited the 'chinatown' in Melbourne (Australia) the weekend just gone. Not something that i've done very often but luckily i had a friend with me who knew where to go... straight to a place that served some yummy dumplings.

Love this shot, i love the sharpness and the black and white.

Oh yes, I remember Chinatown from the 50's and 60's. Are those ducks still hanging in the window? Good job getting the shot in all that traffic.

There is some great stuff going on in the background here. Thinking about your NYC shot sand walks. Have you ever read the Kinky Friedman books?
