Morning Snow by soboy5

Morning Snow

Hard to believe, but here in the sunny south, we are in the middle of our second snow/ice event in two weeks. Just snow today, but the forecast is for a major ice storm in the next 24 hours.

This is my backyard as the snow began to fall this morning. I was going for a soft focus look here, so please view large to see the snowflakes falling.

Once the ice storm is gone, I'll resume my NYC study.
Loved viewing this large. Wonderful shot.

Snow in Georgia -- a lovely image on its own, and also good documentation of such a rare weather event!

Impressive. I'm here for this one too again, thinking in a few hours I'll venture out for some shots. I'm staying at north perimeter...ice is really building up so far. This one will be interesting for sure. Stay safe!

I like the soft pastel abstract feel to this one -- looks so funny to see with all the snow falling in the spring-like scene. I imagine your area is all covered in mounds of snow by now. We're supposed to have heavy rain here later today with temps dipping from the 80s to 30 and 40s at night. C-R-A-Z-Y weather!

Impressionistic, almost pointillist. Stay safe.

This is so beautiful! You should tag it for the weekly theme, Danny... it's soft! :)

Tag is theme-soft

I've been watching the weather down south and it looks terrible! We've had our fair share of snow and ice but somehow we got spared on this one -- I think. I do like the abstract feel to this one. Very soft, subdued tones.
