Ideas of Stone

A new sculptural was temporarily installed in Madison Square Park in the fall of 2013. Ideas of Stone, by Giuseppe Penone, consisted of three 30-foot tall bronze trees. The sculptures interacted with Madison Square Park’s landscape to highlight the relationships among man, sculpture and nature. They also fooled both people and birds, as they appeared to be real trees in person. Best viewed large.
Interesting find and well captured.

Cool. To me, this can represent how cities warp the natural world. Very interesting photo.
