This lovely private home, located on the waterfront in downtown Apalachicola, first gave the impression that it has sailboats etched into its second floor windows. Upon closer inspection, we discovered these sailboats are model ships, not etchings. I like the way the owners of this home have created their own little oasis of privacy from the downtown business district through the use of hedges, shrubs and trees.
I've now googled your town so I know where all these great places are! It looks a great place to live. Another great architectural piece. I wonder of the your tourism board would be interested in these?
@Cherrill Thanks, it is a cool town but it is not my town. You've arrived 2/3 of the way through my multi-month photographic study of Apalachicola, Florida. See here for more information: http://365project.org/soboy5/365/2014-12-05
@judys Thank you! It is interesting to see how the colored pencil processing makes the sailboats stand out. The windows appeared to have the sailboats etched into them when I saw them in person. I am so ready to go back to Florida and get out of this cold weather!
@taffy Thank you for the nice comments. I'm really enjoying this new processing, and it is addictive. It also looks amazing on automobiles (I'll show some car show pics done in this style after my photographic study of Apalachicola concludes).
