Thanks for putting yesterday's "Marsh layer cake" on PP. This is the 1st time in my 3 years here that I've had 3 consecutive images make PP. I wonder if the "magic monkeys" have changed the PP formula?
Today's image is my illustration of the John Gorrie Memorial Bridge, which crosses Apalachicola Bay. I took this as we sailed under the bridge, hence the title. I wanted to match this image to a song, and I selected this hauntingly beautiful song by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I selected it for 2 reasons - first, I had already titled this image and coincidentally, my title and their song title are the same. Secondly, it is a great song.
Here are some lyrics and a link to the entire song:
"Sometimes I feel
Like I don't have a partner
Sometimes I feel
Like my only friend
Is the city I live in
The city of angels
Lonely as I am
Together we cry..."
@leananiemand Thanks, Leana. I use Photoscape to process all my images. It is a free download. The actual processing method is called "colored pencil pictorialization". I have photoshop but I can't figure out how to use it. I taught myself how to use Photoscape - it does not do as much as PS, but it is so much easier to use!
Fab processing and looks great on black. Yes, I've been noticing the "monkeys" are putting more photos on PP with favs under 15. Not for me though. It seems I have to get over 30 or more to make it but that's no problem for me as that's not why I'm here. Congratulations to you as they all deserved to be there. I have enjoyed your series.
I just saw where you commented on another's page which reminded me that it's been awhile since I have seen any of your posts. I like your perspective and how you processed this. Fav
