My third year on 365 ends today and in the words of Jerry Garcia, "what a long strange trip it's been". The year started out well, but I ran low on inspiration halfway through. Then the trip to Apalachicola re-inspired me and carried me through the year.
Stats for the year: 118 images received recognition, including 2 Top Twenty, 16 Popular Page and 113 Trending. This made it impossible to do a collage of my "greatest hits" as I did in years one and two (conveniently for those years, 9 images from each year received recognition, making for two very easy collages). I have yet to figure out how to make a collage of 118 images, so I picked 16 popular ones for this year's final image.
So what about year 4? Or as The Clash says, "should I stay or should I go?" On one hand, my inspiration is fairly low right now. But on the other, this is the friendliest place on the web and I have a lot of good friends here.
I have not missed a day of posting in 1095 days. While this may sound impressive, it has been very stressful.
So I've decided to stay for year 4 but on my terms. Which means no stress or pressure to post daily. I will post images whenever I have something I deem worthy of showing all of you. Which may turn out to be daily postings, or there may be some days I do not post. But I will be here. It is too friendly a place to leave.
Finally, and most importantly, thanks for all your kindness, support, comments, favs and most of all, for your friendship over this past year. You are the reason I am here on 365.
Congratulations Danny on your 3rd year. Even though I recently started to follow you, I found your images and photos inspiring and brilliant. I hope you do continue here but in your own terms. After 14 months for me & uploading photo daily, I have started to take photos and upload when I have time. These days we live such busy lives. Hope to see more of your amazing photos.
Very glad that you are staying around as I have just found you and am following. I like your profile description. I used to teach art but now satisfy my creative outlet with photography.

Instant fav and congratulations on a fabulous 3rd year, Danny. I am glad you are staying, and since 365 really doesn't have rules about what to post, when, etc. you can do what ever you want. I am also having trouble finding photo ops recently most likely because I've photographed everything possible (inside and out) that I've seen or done the last few years. Actually I need to get around more but the time is not right now. So I'll struggle along mainly because I would miss everyone so much....like you say, this is the friendliest group on the web!
@sangwann Thanks - I have been not feeling well the last few days and did not even notice there were 16 images! So that explains why when I loaded 12 images into the collage editor, it did not fill up the collage - LOL.
Well done Danny, a very impressive achievement. I'm pleased you have decided to continue ... on our own terms is the only way! It's juyst that those terms change over time! I plan to do the same as you, even though I have now begun a 4th album! Look forward to whatever you can offer.

You had a wonderful year despite the ebb and flow of inspiration, as seen in this collage. Congrats on going 3 years with posting daily. I only did that through Year 1! Without that pressure, I predict you'll find you'll have all the fun and none of the stress so Year 4 will be great. I agree, I'd miss the site, but it does help to relieve yourself of pressure and just focus on what you need to or can do.

Congratulations, Danny, and I agree. I'm well into my 3rd year, and there are days I have no iinspiration and think, "Why don't I just skip a day?" But I can't. Too many friends here, and I would miss it terribly. So, here I am, still posting and can't imagine not being here. Don't stay away too long at any one time; we'll miss you.

I can't imagine where you found the stamina to complete 3 years... and now a 4th! I'm really struggling after just 15 months! I enjoy your work and am very appreciative of the support you give me... it helps enormously.
Just seeing this now, so congrats on finishing year 3! A wonderful accomplishment. I am glad we will continue to see your work, when you have time and motivation to share... under your terms. Sounds like a perfect way to participate! :)
