Zion Sandstone Cliffs by soboy5

Zion Sandstone Cliffs

I was awe-struck by Zion's Navajo Sandstone cliffs, many of which are half a mile in height. They are also very old, as most geologists believe they can be dated back to the Late Triassic period of time. So that means dinosaurs saw these same cliffs!

Amazing! I'm no geologist Danny, but I'm surprised they are so old because sandstone is quite a softy rock.
