There is a lot to do in Moab, Utah. So we made the most of it by staying very busy and active while we were there. After a full morning at Arches National Park, we spent the entire afternoon at the Island in the Sky district of Canyonlands National Park. This section of the park is a gigantic mesa, with a vast canyon beneath it.
Pictured here is the famous Mesa Arch. It is perched on the edge of an 1800 foot sheer cliff, with the entire canyon and the La Sal Mountains as a backdrop. Truly awe-inspiring. Mesa Arch was also used as one of the Windows 7 backgrounds.
Tomorrow I will show you the spectacular view from under the arch. You can see some of it framed in this image.
This is at the top of my bucket list! Thanks for inspiring me to get out there! Terrific shot. Glad you're making the most of your time there! Can't wait to see more images.
