The few encounters I have had with pelicans has given me the feeling that they are shy birds. I am surprised that you filled the frame like this. Maybe it depends on how use they are to being around people?

@skipt07 Florida pelicans will pose for you if you keep your distance. Taken with a 200mm telephoto lens and cropped just a bit so that he filled the frame.
