As my friend @sangwann predicted, it is time to explore the lush, tropical mangrove, cypress and tupelo swamps that line the Apalachicola River. Seeing these swamps in person should be on the bucket list of everyone who loves nature. They are breathtaking. I especially liked how this gorgeous palm grew horizontally instead of vertically, aligned with the water instead of the sky.
