Wader by spanner

Wader

I saw this lady as I was walking along with my Dad. I got down to take some shots as I liked the composition and light. Dad was rather concerned about my motives.
Very nice simple image

@ourrube Thank you Ruby. I am a simple type of stalker.

This is lovely, lone figure, focus through reeds, BW, blur. Atmospheric. Lensbaby?

@lleo Thank you. Yes I used the Lensbaby.

there could have been a different title and no-one would have questioned whether or not you were a stalker.... this works extremely well, I really love the effect, is this two exposures?

@kali66 Hi Kali, no this is one shot. I felt a little odd hiding behind the grass hence the title. I am going to change it now.

very well done on all counts :)

@kali66 Thank you,

eerie, in a very atmospheric and questioning way. in terms of raw detail, this is a bit less minimalistic than some of your lensbaby shots, however the simplicity of areas and what specifics you include helps it retain that same level of focus and intrigue.

I didn't see the figure at first, a favorite experience of mine. I'm amazed that you're able to use the LB exclusively and continuously make it so effective. The darkest grass seems to cup the woman.

Wow! Nice one! :)

@louuncouth Thank you Lo - I really appreciate your continued support of these shots.

@ubiquitybutsomewhatdownsized Thank you for your comments. Very much appreciated.

Focus and intrigue - ubiquitybutsomewhatdownsized - took the words right out of my mouth. Another wonderful lensbaby image - I'm sure the wader wouldn't mind at all - it's so discrete . FAV

@jocasta Thank you very much. Have you had a chance to use the pinhole/zoneplate yet. I really struggled with it yesterday.

@spanner No - brought it with my to the seaside with great intentions of experimenting. I've been looking at other people's zone plate images - including these. http://carolinejensen.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/through-lensbaby-circle-march.html

This is a bit voyueristic , not usually a fan of that vibe. But after cropping the top half (scrolling the screen down...) I noticed that there is a cool illusion going on, the girl looks really miniature and also the grass looks more abstract as the context is a bit lost... so it becomes just a cool device for framing.
