I looked at your wonderful photos on the "favorite places to photograph" discussion and am amazed at the range of images you have captured there. This one is particularly striking to me, for how differently the fog shows the scene, but also because as an image, it is truly wonderful. Deeply atmospheric, it juxtaposes the sense of stillness with movement.
@jyokota you should have been there. Because of the weather, the trail was vacant. The only sounds were some rumbles from the train yard, sea gulls, and a fog horn off in the distance. It was really peaceful.
On a revisit, I realize I should have marked this a FAV because this image has stayed in my mind. Your description of the sounds of the day make it possible for me to imagine what it must have been like to be there. Don't you like how photographs "take you back" to a moment in time like this?
