Not the most glamorous shot, but I did a nice job of getting the streussel in focus on several different cakes...I had already filled the oven with 21 coffee cakes, and these ones were waiting their turn...tomorrow the goal is to make 77 coffee cakes. Coffee cake has been taking over my life lately. It was only a matter of time that it would start to make it's way onto my 365 project despite the fact that they aren't that photogenic. They're just brown bundt cakes when they're done.
I like this image! I like how you show so many bundt pans at once, and that you can see what's inside them. You make 77 coffee cakes in a day? You must have a bakery!!! One thought for you to consider on another day when you are photographing a lot of cake pans like this (which seems to be a daily thing?) is to try completely filling the frame so the viewer imagines there are so many bundt pans you can't possibly see them all. For example, for this one, you might have cut into the last set on the top so we don't know that's the "end of the line."
@jyokota Yeah I should try that. This picture was more of an after thought. These were the last ones waiting to go into the oven. ..I don't have a bakery, I just work at one.
@stephomy -- I find that analyzing my photos afterwards gives me a sense of what I might want to do next time. And sometimes, the afterthought photos are surprisingly good -- as yours is! I hope you don't mind my thinking aloud about what might be done another time . . . I always appreciate hearing other people's thoughts!
