Blue Mountain

I had today off, but I decided to get up early and walk to Ella Bailey park. It's one of the few spots near my place that you can get a picture of Rainier from up high without telephone wires in the way. Weather is supposed to be clear and cold for a week. Very cold.
I love the mountains, very beautiful!!

Great shot. I hope the clouds clear tonight, I had star trails trip planned.

That is one area of Seattle that I have never gotten to explore. Suppose to be a fellow high school graduate living in that area.

@byrdlip I grew up in Ballard, and honestly, I never explored much of Magnolia beyond Discovery Park, until I moved here.

The clouds are supposed stay away for a week or so.

This is beautiful - I have been thinking about your food shots. I follow Jamie Oliver on FB and he posted a macaroon shot this morning and I thought of you. You might be able to get some ideas on composition if you have a look at his photos.

@nicolecampbell Thanks. I went an checked out his website and saw the macaroon shot. I remember having to make a lot of those at one job. His whole website is making me hungry.

Such a bold contrast with yesterday's pink sky! Certainly looks cold.

@janturnbull When the sun finally did come up, the whole sky turned yellow, but at that point I got too cold, and went home. I'm still deciding if I should time myself better today, or stay in and take a picture of my coffee or something.

Such a lovely view. I have relatives in Seattle, they moved there from Scotland in the late 60s, so I've always thought of it being an exotic, far-away place. :) Great shot.

Well, I'd say that early morning climb was worthwhile! What colors! What an image . . .
