This is the hotel I am staying for the week in Abu Dhabi. We're very lucky as it is 5 Star (the company get a deal :) and it is lovely. But more importantly it's the funkiest looking beast I've ever seen!
The 'cage' structure round the outside with all the lights on, stands completely separate from the 2 main hotel buildings. And if you look closely you can see the 'bridge' structure which joins the two buildings. Underneath this bridge is the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 circuit, which earlier that evening I got to cycle round the track as each week it is opened to the cycling, walking and running public for 3 hours. I did 3 laps in total and it was great fun!
@sugarmuser Sharon, I have been looking forward to this trip for weeks just because of the photo opportunities coming. Next week in Doha should be good - lots of big high rise buildings! :)
