This one is for @deniseescovino
And just to clarify, I wasn't moody when I took this :)
This was taken just after midnight and I much prefer this shot to the one taken just before midnight. So I decided to use it as today's shot.
It's strange doing selfies. After a while of looking at your own face it seems to change. Not sure for good or bad, but you do have to eventually face up to whatever it is you're staring at.
I have been very image conscious ever since being a very over-weight teenager. I lost the weight when I was around 21, so it's been a long time since I was a big chap, but the way I feel about myself hasn't changed all that much and scrutinising myself and the way I look hasn't stopped. It's one of those very basic, human feelings that I guess some or all of us can have, over many different things but it never quite goes away. Maybe when i'm 6 feet under.. :)
No need to be self-conscious! I understand what you're saying though. It is hard to see yourself the way others do. Great photo... whether you doubt yourself or not, you look very confident in this shot.
Yeah!!! That`s what I`m talking about :) Now you know what I am going to say so.. I won't lol just see what other people say about your eyes and repeat: Denise is always right! LOL Just let that fat boy get lost!!! You`re a new man now, and a very handsome one. And I am going to FAV you sir! Cheers! :))
@helenmichelled Helen, I prefer this too. I sot on my Fuji X100, held out in front of me, but I cropped in to about a third of the frame size to make it look like a longer lens. It was point and shoot in terms of getting the camera to focus on my eyes. This was about attempt 25 :)
@cocobella Thank you Corinne :) It's interesting that determined is the word to describe it, and I do agree. I was just trying to look socially acceptable :)
I just haven't met the right one yet.
