Day one of the Boat Race job. Didn't do much today to be honest, just got the TV trucks in place and had a wander round the 'Mortlake/Finish' part of the course to see where cameras will be going. I would have spent a lot more time taking photos but after only 3, my camera's battery died.
But I like this one. When I walked down the path along the river at around 1.45pm the tide was way out. Around 6.30pm when I walked back toward Kew Bridge, the tide was up as you see here under the rail bridge so I grabbed the camera, snapped two shots before I lost power.
I like that it's the safety boat. Stranded, and alone.
Hahaha... ironic. Great photo - love the pop of red. PS - I've been using my ISO options lately. Trying to get a grasp on it. My camera can go to about 1600 before getting too grainy. But, it is very helpful when I'm in doors with only the light from windows like my photo today. Thanks for the tip!
