I was stuck inside the house for most of the day due to the very grey and wet weather so just before making a quick dinner and heading out to the cinema to see a late screening, I grabbed my camera and played around with the glass of juice I had on the side. I played with my standard zoom and my wide angle, and by turning the lens round and shooting through the front end of the lens you can get a cheap, macro effect. The wider the lens, the closer you can get to the subject. It was tricky as I was in very low light so had to up the ISO and the lens is moving due to it not being attached so getting pin sharp shots is difficult but fun all the same.
3 good things:
1 - Getting some things cleared out of the house and to the charity shop
2 - Catching up on some shots from a trip to London the week before
3 - Finally getting to the cinema after months of not going, and seeing 10 Cloverfield Lane. It's a great movie...!
@julie Thank you Julie.
You can do it....literally take your lens off the front of your camera, turn it round, and shoot through the back element. It helps if you have live view. It obviously isn't attached so you have to hold it to the body (sometimes called 'free-lensing') so good to put the camera on a tripod. :)
Interesting and succesful experiment! That movie - I just can't find out what happened in the end! Sounds horrifying!
....and @happypat - you just shot yourself in the foot! see @essiesue
