Continuing from yesterday's shot of the first few drips of sloe gin being bottled, this is the last of the batch from the berries picked last October. I am doing 'dry January' where I am not drinking any alcohol for the month but I did taste a couple of drops and it's lovely.
This will probably stay in my room until at least Christmas this year so by then it will be perfect, over ice and/or with a little cheese :)
1 - My nephew over at the house for the day
2 - A visit to the Osteopath this afternoon
3 - A swim late this evening to try and take the weight of my lower back
Glove,y bottles you've used Steve. My damson gin is in old empty bottles of drink so dont look as attractive as these. I do have some bottles like this with the Spring fastening so will have to remember to use them next time. You are very virtuous with your alcohol abstention!
@happypat It's honestly not that hard, as I'm not a big drinker. I'm a foodie more than anything. But I will look forward to a gentle G&T or a beer when February comes around while I'm away in the UAE.
@stevecameras - they have created their own. The start kit lives on the kitchen bench and gets fed daily and just between you and me I think they talk to it too!
