It snowed in the UK today. Quite a lot in some places. And in Norfolk around lunchtime we had a quite a load dumped on us and it did settle for a bit. But then the rain came and washed it all away.
Just after the main bulk had been laid I thought I might go to Herringfleet windmill and see if there might be some snow around. As soon as I was heading down there in the car the rain started and I knew it would most likely be gone even after only a little journey.
I decided the 20 minute walk in bracing wind would be still be worth it was I had driven to the few miles to the car park. So in betweens the rain showers and howling gales I snapped a few shots of the mill.
I know what I am trying to achieve with this but it isn't quite working. I wanted lots of reeds in the foreground with the mill in the upper third of the frame but I think I needed to be almost underneath it with the ultra-wide angle. With one moment as the sun was starting to shine I put the BigStopper on and shot a couple of frames.
3 good things:
1 - Having my nephew Toby over for the day
2 - Heading out with my camera despite the terrible weather
3 - Getting my suitcase packed ahead of my trip to the UAE tomorrow
Enjoy the UAE.
