On Friday I managed to get down to the south coast in time to watch Alexis take part in her school sports day with her fellow classmates. It seems obvious to her mum and I that she isn't particularly fussed about sports, which is fine by us.
She seems to enjoy doing it and competes enough to try in the moment which is good, but is equally not bothered about the result. So I guess for some, it really is about the taking part and not the winning :)
Having said that, in this race she was very happy to come in second place, and even happier that her Red Team won the overall day with the most points overall.
3 good things:
1 - Getting down to see Alexis take part in her school sports day
2 - Bringing her back to London and showing her the cubby hole bedroom, introducing her to my housemates and showing her a little bit of my local area
3 - Bedtime and stories with Alexis in the evening
