I was talking today to my boss about rain storms and he mentioned that until you have been in a boat during a storm, you don't know what a storm is really all about. It made remember this picture and this storm.
This was taken about 3 years ago in the Bahamas as we watched a squall approaching. We had plenty of anchors out and were ready. It was certainly not the worst we ever experienced but the rain was awesome.
It puts you right out in the midst of nature in a boat during a storm. I can imagine it would be exciting and scary at the same time. At least you were close to land in this storm.
What a wonderful shot. I like the colors, and the juxtaposition of the stillness of the calm water in the foreground and the looming storm cloud. Very nice.
