Summer is Almost Over by stownsend

Summer is Almost Over

The college kids have left for school, already feeling so grown-up. The school buses begin running tomorrow for the little tikes who will also feel so big. I think summer is almost over.
And the swing will hang there in solitude as the kids go off to school. Great picture Suzie!!

HUSH! Don't say such things!!!!! I am the queen of denial, and I refuse to believe what you are saying is true! (But unfortunately you're right.) This is such a perfect shot to symbolize the nearing end of summer.

This is really nice - like the light on this. We are starting to get all those 'summer is nearly over' pics (apart from the odd 'Spring is nearly here' from our antipodean friends!) 's always very double-edged the close of a season, especially summer - but I always enjoy autumn and winter also (as long as it doesn't overstay its welcome!).

I LOVE this shot! I have tried (and failed!) similar shots before! You pulled it off so well!

What emotion this stirs up. It's so beautiful, even if it's sad.

Wonderful photo, Suzie! Summer is almost over, but fall is on its way!! Looking forward for the leaves to change and to take some photos of the pretty colors!!! ;-)

Good luck in taking photos of strangers! I guess older people would be more objective to the idea... I was lucky with yesterday's shot, because it was all very spontaneous and unplanned. If I had thought more about it, i probably wouldn't have had the courage to ask for a photo. I once had a stranger take a photo of me walking on the street in Bulgaria... I just saw him do it, but neither of us said nothing. Just weird... maybe he was just snapping away ;-)
