Welcome!

I found this welcome sign outside a home in my neighborhood. Too bad I am short as the angle isn't the best! The brick this arch is made of is simply called Mexican Brick. I have never seen it anywhere except here in Yuma. It is everywhere in our neighborhood. Our whole yard is fenced in it - all around. Almost all of the homes are also and I think it adds a quaintness to the area as you look down the street. Nice shot! There are plenty of bricks around here too- but what I think makes these unique is their coloring and the way they've been fired. I like the combo.
