Meet my husband, Kirby. This picture is from the summer of 2015 when we traveled the northwest in our camper. I wasn't doing 365 that summer because of poor internet and it was the best summer of my life! Kirby and I hiked up and down mountains and enjoyed it so much. Now our health keeps us home much of the time and when I need a boost, I just look back to when we were healthier and enjoyed the outdoors so much. This man has lead me down so many trails and offered me so much adventure. He is a very unique person and so fun. In this picture we were in Montana near Georgetown Lake.
He looks like a fun guy. reminiscing is all we can do nowadays. it's the same with us. our vacationing days are over. the health travel insurance people say no, we're not insurable,. some companies would insure us, but don't ask how much they want for it. this is the first winter we stayed home and let me tell you, it's a long winter.
@bruni Yes, we have so, so many Canadians here each winter and I sure don't blame them. Our summers keep us indoors like your winters do. Kirby's knees are no good (he won't have surgery) and I have asthma and can't hike. Neither of us wants to drive long distances anymore. I will enjoy 365 so, so much this summer as you are this winter!
What great experiences! So glad you and your husband had those! This country has so much amazing scenery. Fortunately during all my road trips in the 80s, I saw a lot of it.
