While camped at Duck Creek in Utah we were told about some lovely falls that we could hike to. When we got there and I saw the trail I knew I wouldn't be able to walk it. It was too narrow and on the side of the mountain. My anxiety would have gotten the best of me. So I sent Kirby on ahead to make the trek with our yellow dog, Jake, while I stayed back and enjoyed the views.
You can see the narrow trail which he told me got much worse as he got closer to the falls. If you look closely you can even see Jake leading the way.
Lucky you to have Kirby and Jake to check it out for you...I'm totally the same! Pam Knowler and I were in Newfoundland with Ken, and when we wanted to see puffins, they were "just over the hill"... No way we could have made it, so we had to rely on Ken to bring us some photos. Broke my heart..I've still never seen a puffin in real life! Did he say the falls were worth the trek?
@Weezilou Anything is worth the trek for Kirby! Or used to be anyway. He has led me over hill and dale since the day we met! I am sorry you didn't get to see the puffins. We saw a few when we sailed the north east coast and over to Nova Scotia. I can't recall exactly where now. I think it was somewhere in Maine.
