Sun's Down by stray_shooter

Sun's Down

One more from the beach shoot of two days ago. This is basically the same shot as yesterday minus the flowers and the sun. Long one minute exposure.
Ron this is my favorite of your beach series. Taken in the blue hour - the best light of the day in my opinion - beautifully composed and your 56 second exposure produced silky water and balanced the ambient and the city lights perfectly. I especially like the beam of light on the point leading into the ocean. An easy fav.

@grahambudd Hey, thanks, Graham! Such great surprises when shooting just after sunset and opening that shutter for long exposures. I have to add that I dialed in the color temperature a bit to blue it up a bit (4100 Kelvin, if I recall) My first time specifying Kelvin temperatures. So much to learn and play with!

Love the result of colour temperature effect and lighting of the homes, yet another amazing coastal shot Ron, I've also played with colour temperature to warm a shot not tried blues

@pcoulson Thanks Peter - I didn't even think my camera offered temperature options. Everyone else in my class has Canon cameras, so I'm at a bit of a disadvantage when it comes to learning menu options. Maybe that makes the learning more effective?

Спасибо, Татьяна. Солнце на самом деле был вниз в течение 20-30 минут. Это удивительно, как много света, камеру можно собирать без этого большого света в небе.

@stray_shooter, I had the same problem, so I got a copy of David Busch Sony A77 Guide, he does one for Nikon D600, Its far better than the user guild, explains how to work all features of the camera in an easy to follow way

This is SO beautiful! I said I'd be asking some numbers and settings questions, but I've been writing down your exif information and reading what you add to the comments. Very informative! Now to see if I can use it to best effect!
