I've never paid any attention to the detail on these blooms — wow, I've been missing out on some amazing beauty. Your image has captured the detail of the layers here — the lighting's just right as is the angle. These petals almost look like tissue paper.
@pcoulson Thanks Peter. I've never seen, or maybe never really noticed the detail, these kinds of flowers before. Some of them were smaller and some, like this, were just huge. I discovered that these are actually poisonous and can make some animals sick if they eat them. And the workers who pick them have to be careful in their handling of them. Who knew?
@lyndemc Yes, as I mentioned to Peter, I hadn't really noticed much about these either. They do, in fact, look like tissue paper - great observation! They're so pretty that even I can't screw up the images!

@lyndemc LOL. It wasn't meant to be a criticism - just a comment that you seem to be able to find the time to analyse everyone's photos and then provide constructive comments on them. Don't know how you find the time (or the enthusiasm).
