Plants come in the male and female variety, just as people do. This is my male Sego Palm. I can tell because it won't do any housework and refuses to ask for directions. However, it does get along well with its female counterpart.
Superb image Ron, love the focus giving so much detail and texture, also the positioning in the frame, never see anything like this before looks enormous;)
OK, our two must be females. Their big center stem are not as fat as this one, and yellow in color. Had to laugh at your comment. Even Sagos don't ask directions huh? Nice POV of your little boy's photo.
What a beauty that is! Just yesterday I was asking Anita for specifics about her Sego. We recently bought one that looked fabulous, and it slowly yellowed and has pretty much given up the ghost...and it never even had a good sex life! We'd done everything nita suggested, so we'll give it another try when we return...they're the prettiest [alms, I think.
@pcoulson@lilminimonka@gilbertwood Thank you kindly folks. Glad I could share something new with you. I learned a few things myself researching this. One of my neighbors was telling me how much money this is worth now. I hope someone doesn't come along and dig it up!
@simta Спасибо Татьяна. Я думаю, что они являются выходцами из Китая, и они были использованы в очень древние времена. Я люблю их много, но они растут очень медленно.
