Flamingo Friday - 025 by stray_shooter

Flamingo Friday - 025

It must be Friday! I liked the various shades of pink in this guy's body plumage. That and the perfect S formed by his neck.
He's a classic, definitely. Well photographed to fill the frame. I like this one and the way you did the dog portrait for the bold looks.

He does have a beautiful curve, color and feathers. The feathers on his head and neck look like a plush toy. Very nice!

The shades of pink do look amazing. It's also amazing how you can bend their necks!

Such an incredible jolt of color this bird brings to the picture. The variations in color on his feathers is just stunning. Another fantastic Flamingo Friday photo, Ron.

@pcoulson Thank you kindly Peter. I may be reaching the point where my flamingos start to look repetitive.....ah, who am I kidding? More to come for sure!

@joysfocus Oddly enough I do have a flamingo plush toy. Maybe I can do a comparison! Thanks for commenting Joy.

@terryliv Flamingo wings!! Oh, man those sound delicious - and filling! Maybe we could start a restaurant that specializes in flamingo wings - wouldn't PETA have a fit with that?

@stray_shooter Hahaha oops meant "they!" But, wow, did my sentence put a funny image in my mind, like a posable toy :P
February 20th, 2017
@stray_shooter NO FLAMINGO WINGS on the dinner table. (They'd make you turn pink, don't ya know.)

Vibrant color Ron! The best thing about the 'Get Pushed' is looking at new portfolios and I am certainly enjoying yours so far! We are partners this week and I will finish up looking over your portfolio and have a challenge for you by NLT Tuesday - take care dude!

@brett101 Hi Brett, and thanks for contacting me. You are quite correct that getting pushed provides a great opportunity to get to see some different work. Enjoying yours too! OK, so here's my challenge to you - how about using natural framing. Shoot a photo through an opening, be it man-made, maybe a window or archway, or natural, through some trees or a rock formation, something along that line. How's that sound? I await your challenge! Pleasure to make your acquaintance - and Happy Birthday to Breia!

Hey Ron - awesome challenge and sounds fun - thanks! I am a huge fan of forced perspective and I would like to see you do something in that format this week if you can accomplish that, otherwise I do have another I can issue you. I enjoy seeing the creativity of others using this technique - it is both creative and fun - good luck!

@brett101 Forced perspective it is! I'll get right on that.
