Flamingo Friday - 028

I think he caught me.
...and he's looking down his "nose" at you, I think...
...and I think he's been swilling again...

love the drip.. the wacky bill looks so different straight on.
what a 'neat and tidy' pose this bird has given you.. beautiful textures.. love the uncluttered backdrop, keeps the eye from wandering.. great composition too

Just told my 5.th grade students about your Flamingo Fridays - they loved it, especially when I told about the one with the chrome and plush bird :-)
And as always a nice capture.

March 11th, 2017
Your flamingo shots are wonderful! Do you go to the zoo every Friday?
March 11th, 2017
I was waiting for your flamingo. This guy looked shy... He won't look up for you.
March 12th, 2017
He's staring at you straight on! You're in trouble! Super fun capture.

And is that a drip on the end of his beak? What a catch.
March 13th, 2017
@Weezilou They all look down their nose at me Louise. Certainly a female.
March 14th, 2017
@jorlam Thanks for all of your very kind and observant comments!
March 14th, 2017
@pamknowler Thanks Pam - especially for the fav!
March 14th, 2017
@maggiemae You are kind. Using that reasoning most women view me coyly too. ;-)
March 14th, 2017
@lynnz Thanks Lynn. I have a similar feather shot that I actually used as the wallpaper on my Mac. They do have an amazing pattern and textures.
March 14th, 2017
@rookynook Ha ha, thanks rooky - I'm sure all sides are his best side. ;-)
March 14th, 2017

@louannwarren Thanks Lou Ann - and for the fav too!
March 14th, 2017
@olenadole Thanks Nadiya! You may be the only one who has ever described one as "adorable!" ;-)
March 14th, 2017
@joysfocus Could just be a runny nose....or would that be runny beak? Thanks for the feedback Joy!
March 14th, 2017
@runner365 Oh, man, you told you class about this?!? What an honor!! I hope meet their obviously high expectations in the future! Ask them if they have any requests! Thanks so much Claes!
March 14th, 2017
@pcoulson Ha, yeah, either that or its "run, hide, it's that goofball with the camera again!" Thanks for all the kind praise.
March 14th, 2017
@terryliv And he's not alone!
March 14th, 2017
@redy4et Thanks Elizabeth! No, as much as I'd like to I don't go to the zoo all that often. But between the SD zoo and Wild Animal Park, there are enough opportunities to build a good stock of photos for weekly distribution. I did happen to capture this one on the actual day though. Thanks for commenting!

@aglennc Gee, Poppo said I was getting the death stare and Louise said he was looking down his nose at me. Many different interpretations of his look. I happen to agree with you. ;-)
March 14th, 2017
@cjphoto @onewing @naomi Gee, and I just got done responding to Anita above that everyone seems to see something different in his gaze at me. So that's two votes for looking straight my way and one for the evil eye. Very interesting! Thanks so much for viewing and commenting though!
