Light (and more) At The End Of The Tunnel

Here we go again, trying (usually in vain) to keep posting a photo a day throughout the year. And of course, I'm leading off the year with a picture taken last August. I promise I'll get up to speed this week!

So this Mt Rushmore as viewed from the motorcycle while riding through one of the tunnels on Needles Highway. It's a spectacular site to experience and I like this view so much that I wanted to share it with the 365 community.

Sorry for the extended absence! I missed all of the great photos and all of the communications with me 365 friends!
Happy New Year, Ron!!
So glad to see you pop in once again and this is a great view to see at the end of the tunnel.

@louannwarren Thanks so much, Lou Ann. The photo doesn't really do the experience justice. When you emerge from that tunnel (which is one-way, BTW), seeing that iconic sight off in the distance just gives your chills. Not to be missed!! Looking forward to seeing and sharing your photos and comments.

@stray_shooter Hey Ron! Yes I am planning on coming up fairly soon but no exact date yet. I'm going to a Celebration of Life for a friend who passed away recently unfortunately. The family will let me know when it will be arranged. So I will definitely let you and Louise know when I will be there.

What an incredible shot. Glad you opted to share it with us.

@joysfocus Sorry to hear this. I have a similar experience. Remember Dave from dinner and the Little Feat show in San Diego last May? He was murdered a couple of weeks ago in Tustin - a shocking and tragic event. His Celebration of Life was incredibly well attended and many a tear was shed, mine among them. Two kids from Santa Ana were just arrested as suspects. They were trying to rob him as he was out for his nightly exercise walk. I'm struggling to cope with it.

Glad you're back! And I like how this image leads you into your new year. What an amazing view -- but surely you were using a go-pro, no hands, right?

Such an incredible point of view, Ron... glad to know you're going to try to be back here. Not that I have plans to do more than drop in briefly when I think I have something to share... So terribly saddened to read about the death of your friend in such a senseless way!!! And Joy @joysfocus, too? Too much of that going around! Treasure our friendship and treasure each day!

@stray_shooter Oh my God Ron! What the hell?!! What is wrong with people! Of course I remember your good friend Dave when we went to dinner. A very sweet guy. Oh I am so sorry Ron.
