Winter in Southern California is when most of the leaves fall off of the deciduous trees....well, in actuality, they really get blown off when the Santa Ana winds blow....except for those stubborn few that refuse to go. Like these.
And they're holding on to their color too. If we have any hangers-on, they're brown and withered! I like how the red/orange pops against the gorgeously blue sky!
Well, HEY! backatcha! Nice surprise, finding you on my "365" pic page. Made me smile to think about you being back with the Project.
Colorful scene you've got here; great blue sky for a backdrop for the two tough leaves.
@imnorman Hey, Ian, good to hear from you! Thanks for your earlier kind note, and my humble congrats to you for completing an entire year so successfully - something I've failed to do for seven years running now. I managed to obtain a new iPhone 11 Max, and whoa, does this thing take great photos! Maybe I could persuade you to grab one of those and treat us to some more of those great shots of yours. ;)
@runner365 Thanks Claes, but between you and me that's a little photoshop magic that I added in there. The sun was actually behind me giving me that great illumination on the leaves. The shot just seemed to be needing a little enhancement. I plead guilty to falsifying!
@olivetreeann Thanks Ann, and thanks for the follow (although I though you already were a follower). As I mentioned to Pam, I ended up, sort of by accident, capturing complementary colors....well, colours in her language. ;-)
