Pebble Beach by stray_shooter

Pebble Beach

Last year I had the good fortune to play a round of golf at what is arguably the most beautiful and most famous golf course in the world, Pebble Beach Golf Links. This is the 9th and 10th holes, facing south, one of the most picturesque views on the course. I didn't play all that well, but I balanced that with getting some classic photos!
How many balls did you lose?

Gorgeous image of a beautiful golf course Ron, looks like overshooting the sand trap on the right could be a handicap, a friend of mine has a notice on his golf trolley " a bad day on the golf cource beats a good day at work every time" :)

Whoa—what a place! Lucky you, being able to say you've played here.

Wow -- now that would be an amazing experience! And if you aren't getting the golf shots you want, at least you're getting the images!

Amazing view- I don't know how golfers can concentrate on the game with so much beauty around them! Great shot!

@yorkshirekiwi Shockingly, I only lost one. And that one did NOT end up in the Pacific. ;-)

@bkbinthecity I didn't do well at all. The beauty and the constant need to photograph proved to be a bit distracting. That's my story! Thanks, Brian.

@onewing Thanks Babs. Given the price for a round, I'm sure that they can afford the necessary fertilizer!

@gardenfolk Oh, wow, I didn't know you could perform a wedding ceremony on the 18th! What a great idea - I can't think of a better setting! Did you celebrate by leaping into the ocean?!? ;-)

@pcoulson I would heartily agree with that notice on your friend's cart, Peter. When the pro's play this course, they sometimes end up with their ball down on that beach, and believe it or not it's still in play. I recall watching more than one pro rescue the hole by hitting from down there. Not advised for mere amateurs like me!

@pdulis Thanks very much, Peter.

@lyndemc Thanks Denise. That's definitely a bucket list item for any golfer. It does not disappoint!

@taffy Thanks Taffy, you summed it up pretty accurately.

@olivetreeann Thanks Ann. You nailed it - it's incredibly difficult to concentrate on your game when all that beauty is beckoning. Even worse when you're dragging around a big ol' camera!

@stray_shooter No...we didn't jump into the ocean. It would have been quite a drop...Haha! But the marriage has lasted 38 years in September and we married less than 7 months after meeting. And, I lived in Pacific Palisades and my future husband lived in Sacramento. :)
